Guo Dawei
Guo Dawei started his PhD research in September 2006 at the University of Westminster after completing an MA in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London. He was a lecturer at the China Communication University in Beijing between 2002 and 2005.
Dawei’s doctoral thesis looks at the reception of historical drama on contemporary Chinese television. His audience research fieldwork was conducted between September 2007 and April 2008 in Beijing and Changsha, capital of Hunan province. His main research interests include critical reception studies in China and Chinese media and society.
