The northern building of the new CCTV complex caught fire on February 9, 2010, at around 8pm. The fire spread quickly and engulfed the entire structure.

“Anti-vulgar Internet Crackdown”
From the beginning of 2009, China has announced six blacklists of websites criticized for “low and vulgar practices on the Internet” as part of the latest “Anti-vulgar Internet Crackdown”(整治互联网低俗之风).
